Wooden Viking Dane axe
The famous and brutal Dane axe. The weapon that helped the Vikings conquer Europé. It is also our most popular wood weapon for children.
The axe is hand carved in wood to resemble the Vikings favourite weapon. The axe head has been given a burned finish to darken it. The axe is wax polished and is not treated with harmful paints or chemicals. The handle is wrapped in brown leather and a natural fiber string. In the making of this toy, we were inspired of finds of toys from the Viking age. Several axes, shields and swords that was used as toys has been excavated from that time period.
