Semi sharp
This hand-forged scissor or saex was one of the favorite weapons of the west-faring Vikings and has a triangular blade shape. The model is based on British finds of this type of long single-edged combat knives. Roller (grip) in polished ash. Handle, button and ring in brass.
The blade is hand forged in carbon steel and hardened with oil and then tempered in the traditional way. The blade is marked with the Nordlys™ "blacksmith's mark" so you can be sure that the scissors come from our forge.
Please note that the blade on this model is delivered hardened and semi-sharp, the blade and can also be sharpened. The model is therefore only intended for collectors and decorative or ceremonial use. We do not recommend using this model for historical combat.
