Terms of Purchase
Terms of Purchase
These terms ("Terms") apply between you as a private customer ("you" or "customer") and Nordlys Design AB, registration no. 556932-4964, VAT SE556932496401, registered at Linnavångsvägen 7, 295 74 Näsum, Sweden ("Nordlys", "we" or "us"), when you order from nordlysviking.com or other e-commerce channels operated by us.
By completing a purchase you accept the Terms as in force at the time of your order. Please read them carefully before ordering. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence within the EU/EEA are not affected by these Terms.
1. Conclusion of contract
A binding agreement between you and Nordlys is formed when we confirm your order by sending an order confirmation to your email address. We reserve the right, in exceptional cases, to decline or cancel an order — for example in the event of pricing errors, stock-outs or suspected fraud. In such cases we refund any payment without undue delay.
2. Prices, payment and currency
All prices are stated in the currency shown at checkout, including Swedish VAT (25% standard rate). The total amount you approve at checkout is the amount payable and cannot be changed after the purchase is completed.
Payment is processed through our integrated payment providers (Shopify Payments, Klarna, PayPal and others). Payment data is handled by the respective provider in accordance with PCI-DSS — we do not store card details ourselves.
Goods remain the property of Nordlys until full payment has been received (retention of title).
3. Delivery
Delivery times and costs are stated at checkout and in our shipping policy. We aim to ship orders within 1–3 business days of payment but reserve the right to longer handling times during sales, promotions and holidays.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon receipt. For collection points, receipt is deemed to occur when you collect the parcel.
4. Right of withdrawal — 14 days
As a private customer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU. You do not need to give a reason.
👉 Use our digital withdrawal function to notify us — you will receive immediate email confirmation. You may also use the standard withdrawal form (PDF).
Full rules on return, refund and exceptions are set out in our refund policy.
5. Statutory warranty and complaint rights
As a consumer in the EU/EEA you have at least 2 years of statutory warranty under EU Directive 2019/771 (the Sale of Goods Directive). In Sweden the period is 3 years under the Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen 2022:260). For Norwegian customers it is up to 5 years for goods intended to last significantly longer than 2 years, under forbrukerkjøpsloven § 27. The longest applicable period always applies in the customer's favour.
For the first 24 months after receipt, any defect is presumed to have existed at delivery. Complaints must be made within a reasonable time after the defect was discovered or should have been discovered.
To complain: contact info@nordlysviking.com with order number, description and photos. For justified complaints we remedy the issue primarily through repair or replacement, alternatively price reduction or refund — in the order prescribed by consumer-sales law. We cover return shipping for justified complaints.
6. Transport damage
Inspect the delivery on receipt. Visible transport damage should be reported to the carrier on delivery and to us within 7 days via info@nordlysviking.com with photos of packaging and contents.
7. Unclaimed parcels
Parcels not collected within the carrier's collection period are returned to us and do not count as exercised withdrawal. A fee of 249 SEK then applies to cover shipping, return shipping and administration. The fee is paid before we re-ship the order, or deducted from any refund.
8. Sales, promotions and discount codes
We reserve the right to remove items or adjust prices during sales or promotions without prior notice. The price shown at checkout when the purchase is completed is binding on both parties and cannot be renegotiated afterwards.
Discount codes with limited validity may be used once per customer and only in accordance with the terms of each code. We reserve the right to exclude certain products or categories. We accept no responsibility for discount codes received from sources other than Nordlys.
9. Intellectual property and site content
All content on nordlysviking.com — including images, text, graphics, product design and trademarks — belongs to Nordlys Design AB or is used with the rights holder's permission. The content may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without our written consent.

We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Swedish data-protection law. Full information about what data we collect, how it is used and your rights is set out in our privacy policy.
11. Force majeure
Nordlys is not liable for delays or non-delivery due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemic, transport disruption or regulatory measures. In such cases the delivery time is extended accordingly, and we will inform you as soon as we can.
12. Dispute resolution
We always seek to resolve disputes directly with you. Please first contact info@nordlysviking.com so we have the opportunity to put things right.
If we cannot reach agreement, as a consumer within the EU/EEA you may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN — Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden) for a free, independent review.
