A bone dice based on an orginal dice excavated in the Viking city of York, England. It is dated to the 10th century.
The dice is hand carved from ox bone and has 6 sides to roll on, each side with a number from 1 to 6, represented by dots.
This dice has one of the more interesting shapes that was found from Viking times.
The Vikings played a lot of games, many of them seem to have been played with dices. Since there are so many found in excavations. In York only, a multiple of designs, sizes and shapes have been found.
It is approximately 10 mm x 25 mm.
