Cow horn is a fantastic material that was widely used for many things until about 100 years ago.

In the past, among other things, spoons, combs, and shoehorns were made from horn.

Horn is very strong and completely compostable, a sustainable material, both for you and the environment. All horn used in Nordlys production is a by-product of the meat industry and comes from livestock.

Our horn products are handcrafted with great craftsmanship in a small village in Northeast India. The horns are cleaned, sorted, boiled and ground before they are shaped into beautiful handicrafts.
