Here we have collected all our craftsmanship in oxhorn. A durable material that can be shaped into almost anything. And an environmentally friendly and compostable alternative to plastic.

Oxhorn is a fantastic material that up until about 100 years ago was widely used for many things. When plastic arrived, it replaced horn in many utility items, such as man
traditionally handmade.
In the past, they did e.g. spoons, combs, spectacle frames and shoehorns in just horn.

Horn is very strong and completely compostable, a sustainable material, both for you and the environment. All horns used in Nordlys's production are a residual product from the meat industry and come from domesticated animals.
