Drinking horn mini, approx. 100-120 ml. A small and practical drinking horn. It always fits in your pack, whether on a hike or a fishing trip. Handmade from natural cow horn. Keep in mind that horn is a natural material and that every horn is unique in shape and colour. You can also specify a preferred colour, and we will try to match it with what we have in stock. All our drinking horns are lacquered on the inside.

Cow horn is a fantastic material that until about 100 years ago was widely used for many things.
When plastic arrived, it replaced horn in many utility items that were traditionally made by hand.
In the past, things like spoons, combs, eyeglass frames, and shoehorns were made precisely from horn.
Our horn products are made by a 3rd-generation family business in Uttar Pradesh, India. There, the cow is considered sacred and no part is allowed to go to waste during slaughter. The horns are cleaned, sorted, boiled, and polished before being shaped. Horn is very strong and completely compostable, a sustainable material for both you and the environment.

Care

Goods in horn are washed by hand with water and detergent. They should not be washed in a dishwasher and cannot be microwaved either. Horn is a natural material that has many properties in common with wood. It can therefore dry out over time. Feel free to treat with wood oil if necessary or once or twice a year for preventive purposes. For glass and other items that will come into contact with food, we recommend that you use a wood oil that is intended for kitchen utensils or the like.
