Refund policy
We follow the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Swedish consumer law. As a private customer, you have the following rights when shopping with us.
14-day right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods, under EU Directive 2011/83/EU. You do not need to give a reason.

How to return
- Notify your withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the goods — use our digital withdrawal function. You will receive an email confirmation with a reference number.
- Send the goods back within 14 days of notifying your withdrawal.
- The goods must be in the same condition you received them — unused, with all tags intact and in the original packaging.
- Once we have received and inspected the return, we start the refund process. It normally takes 3–10 business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank/card issuer.

Return shipping
- Sweden: We cover the return shipping. Email info@nordlysviking.com and we'll send you a return shipping label.
- Other EU countries: You pay the return cost in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
- Defective or incorrectly delivered goods: We always cover the return shipping, regardless of country.
Refund
We refund to the same payment method you used at checkout. We comply with the EU legal requirement to refund within 14 days after receiving the returned goods. If the refund takes more than 14 business days, contact info@nordlysviking.com.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The following items are not covered by the right of withdrawal under EU law:
- Gift cards
- Personalised or custom-made products
- Sealed goods which, for health reasons, cannot be returned once opened
- Perishable goods or products with a short shelf life
Damaged or incorrect items
Inspect your order on delivery. If the item is damaged, defective or wrong — contact us immediately at info@nordlysviking.com. We cover the return shipping and send a replacement as soon as we receive the faulty item.
Unclaimed parcels
Failing to collect your parcel does not count as a return. As this involves additional logistics and shipping costs, a fee of 249 SEK applies for unclaimed parcels. This is paid before we ship the order again, or deducted from the refund amount.
Disputes — we abide by ARN's rulings
If you are not satisfied with how we handled a case, you can refer it to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN — Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden) for an independent review. ARN is a Swedish public authority that resolves disputes between consumers and businesses free of charge. Since Nordlys Viking is a Swedish company, ARN is the relevant dispute-resolution body.
