Viking scissors, Gotland. Semi sharp
This hand-forged scissor was one of the absolute favorite weapons of the Scandinavian Vikings. The model is based on several Swedish finds of this type of long single-edged combat knives. Handle in polished ash. Handle, button and ring in brass.
The blade is hand forged in carbon steel and hardened with oil and then tempered in the traditional way. The blade is marked with the Nordlys™ "blacksmith's mark" so you can be sure that the scissors come from our forge.
Please note that the blade on this model is supplied hardened and semi sharp, the blade and can also be sharpened to preferred sharpness. The model is therefore only intended for collectors and decorative or ceremonial use. We do not recommend using this model for historical combat.
