Cow horn is a fantastic material that until about 100 years ago användes flitigt till många saker.
When plastic came along, it replaced horn in many everyday items that were traditionally handcrafted.
In the past, spoons, combs, eyeglasss frames, and shoehorns were made from horn.
Our horn products are made by a 3rd generation family business in Uttar Pradesh, India. There, the cow is considered sacred and no part may go to waste during slaughter. The horns are cleaned, sorted, boiled, and polished before being shaped. Horn is very strong and fully compostable — a sustainable material for both you and the environment.

Goods in horn are washed by hand with water and detergent if necessary.
They should not be washed in a dishwasher and cannot be microwaved either.
Horn is a natural material that has many properties in common with wood. It can therefore dry out over time. Feel free to treat with wood oil if necessary or once or twice a year for preventive purposes.
For glass and other items that will come into contact with food, we recommend that you use a wood oil that is intended for kitchen utensils or the like.
Heavy use of detergent dries out the horn faster. Then it may need to be oiled more often.

All our drinking horns are lacquered on the inside with food-grade lacquer. Hand wash only. We want to note that all horn products are unique in their colors.
