This book is a graphic catalog with Rus supplements. "A catalog of 343 authentic graphic patterns in 2D. Compiled primarily from the Viking Age, but in some cases later (C8th-C12th), they come not only from Scandinavia, but also from Germany, Central Europe (e.g. Wolin) and Russia. They have been drawn from a wide selection of artifacts — hilts, crossguards, ceramics, jewelry, manuscripts, bone and wood carvings etc. Each pattern has an English description with its date, origin, place of discovery, and meaning, where possible).
