The Carnelian beads of the Viking Age were brought from the Baltic countries, processed and taken to Scandinavia.
One of the most difficult parts of the process was and is drilling the hole. If there is so much as a tiny crack in the rock, it breaks during drilling.
There are therefore quite small holes in the stone beads. We recommend using a thin wire, fishing line or fishing line.
