This is how you find thousands of intricate and mostly locally made glass beads, wherever you look where the Vikings have traveled.</p><p>The glass and some finished beads were imported from the East. Today, the production of the pearls takes place in northern India, in a small village not far from the shores of Gagne. There, the knowledge of making glass beads is something that people are very proud of and where the bead masters dream that their secrets can be passed down to the next generation.
