Viking Sword Valley of Kings

This Swedish Viking sword was found in Dalarna, Sollerön parish. It is just over 30 kilometers south of Mora. The sword is dated to 800-1100 AD.
The sword was found in a burial mound that was 13.5 meters wide, containing cremation remains and 2 spearheads, 13 arrowheads, an axe, and a shield, as well as a comb, comb case, and a belt buckle in a style similar to those found in Russia and Ukraine. Along with the warrior, there were also two secondary graves, one of which is interpreted as a sacrifice and the other as a later interment in the same burial mound. A woman was cremated and buried with oval buckles, a bronze ring buckle, and 3 arm rings.
The sword is of Petersen's type Z.
As the sword is not blunted (does not have a rounded edge), it is not recommended for combat, but intended for collectors, for decorative or ceremonial purposes.
