Felted unicorn, pink and white in 100% wool. There is historical evidence suggesting that the Vikings invented the concept of unicorns. Perhaps in order to sell narwhal tusks with a mythological origin. The oldest known image of a unicorn comes from a drinking horn found in Ireland.

All our felted animals are free from plastic materials and colored with lightfast, water-based, non-toxic dye. The animals are felted by hand with natural soap and warm water. The stuffing is also 100% wool.

Nordlys takes responsibility all the way. Our dolls are felted in cooperation with ethical companies and social projects in Nepal. Through the craftsmanship, we support the financial independence of women from Nepal's most vulnerable groups.

Not suitable for children under 3 years, as small parts may come loose and end up in the mouth.

All our felting is done by hand according to ancient traditions among the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
Felting is probably one of our crafts that, even in its modern form, only requires wool, warm water, regular soap, and a little love.
Among the mountain peaks on the outskirts of Kathmandu stands a house full of women from some of Nepal's most vulnerable groups. Women among Nepal's poor are particularly vulnerable and often struggle to find jobs that also allow them to fulfill what is considered a woman's duties.
But in this house, there are plenty of happy faces, and felting and sewing is done by skilled hands.
Much of the sewing and decorations is also done at home by women who cannot go to work. This is internationally known as "Cottage craft". It gives the women the freedom to work when time allows, providing a much-needed financial contribution to the family. The work gives these women greater influence and a higher standing in society.
The products we make with them spread love, joy, and warmth far beyond Nepal's borders.
Wool is a fantastic material that today is once again the perfect choice for those who want to stay warm and eco-friendly.
