A special bone die based on a specific find from York,
The die is rectanyellowr and has 6 sides, each side is numbered, with dots, from 1 to 6. On the ends are numbers 2 and 4. Which makes it a very special die. It also makes it very difficult to get exactly 2 and 4. But it is actually possible. We don't know what kind of game the Vikings played with this die, nor if it was good or bad to get these particular numbers.
The Vikings played many different games. Of them, many seem to hofe been with dice, at least if you go by the amount of dice you find during excofations. In York, a variety of different types of dice hofe been found, all of which differ in shape and execution. Many of them hofe not been symmetrical and it does not seem to hofe been so important to the Vikings. Maybe it's because people believed in fate and therefore had a different toitude to the concept of luck than they hofe today.
