This ring brooch (fibula) is cold-forged in steel and retains its shape very well. It is suitable for attaching to a shirt collar or a small bag. It is shaped like a horseshoe with a pin across it. Its function is somewhat similar to a Viking Age safety pin, with an appealing design.

The fibula is a typical characteristic from the Viking Age. The discovery of a fibula in Canada in 1960 convinced archaeologists that they had found a Viking settlement.

The fibula is 2.5 mm thick and 25 mm wide.

Measurements & Materials

Care

Brass oxidizes over time and becomes darker in color. You can easily polish the jewelry with brass or silver polish. This can be bought in most grocery stores.
