Terms of purchase for Nordlys™ internet trade

Terms and Conditions:
The following conditions apply to all orders placed by the customer (hereinafter referred to as "you" or "customer") at NordlysViking.com and other e-commerce channels operated by Nordlys Design AB SE556932496401, (hereinafter referred to as "Nordlys" or the "company"). All goods remain the property of the company until full payment has been received by the company.
By using nordlysviking.com and/or placing an order, the customer agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this document ("Purchase Terms"). Please ensure that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions before placing your order.

That a product or service is offered on nordlysviking.com at a specific given time is not a guarantee that the same product or service is always available. We reserve the right to stop selling a product at any time. 
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions as necessary, without notifying the customer in advance. The version of the terms that applies to a specific order is the version that is available on nordlysviking.com at the current time when you place your order. 

Nordlysviking.com strives to offer the best possible experience and service for our customers and visitors. For this to be possible, it is important that you as a customer approve and follow our terms and instructions. Furthermore, you understand and agree not to transmit, publish, distribute or promote any communication that may harm the website/online store or the company. All content in the store, including images, text and graphics, belong to the company and may not, without permission, be used for commercial use.


Nordlys strives for all deliveries to be as environmentally friendly, cheap and fast as possible, all in order to provide the best service.
We try to pack and ship your order the following business day.
Nordlys delivers worldwide, so depending on where you live and which delivery method you chose, it may take a little different time. But our goal is to send your order the following business day at the latest, then you should have your package within 2-4 days.

Right of withdrawal and right of return:

If you are not satisfied with the product you ordered, as a customer in Sweden you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you collect your package. 

The right of withdrawal applies to all goods regardless of price or campaign, but not to order from specially adapted and custom-made products or cut fabrics/textiles.

Personal data: 

On 25/5-2018, the EU's new GDPR law replaced the Swedish PUL (Personal Data Act). Much is the same from the Personal Data Act, but the protection of your personal integrity is strengthened and you get greater control over your data. One right you have is to object at any time to your data being used for direct marketing. You do this by contacting us at Nordlys Viking, via FB, email or phone. 

When you place your order with us, you provide your personal data. In connection with your registration and order, you agree that we store and use your data in our business to fulfill the agreement with you. According to the GDPR, you have the right to know in writing what information we have registered about you. If it is incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant, you can request that the information be corrected or removed. In that case, contact us via e-mail or letter."

As I said, we need certain information to continue developing and improving our range and services and for our offers to you to be relevant. 

Here are examples of the type of data we collect:

Customer details: is information about you as a person linked to your service, e.g. which services you have with us, your name, social security number and other contact details.

Traffic information: Is information about how and how long you stay on the page and which products you look at. 

External sources: Examples of external sources can be personal registers or credit information when needed.

Cookies: By using cookies on our websites.

 In accordance with current legislation, you have a number of rights which mean that you can obtain information about and control over your own personal data.

Right to information and access to your personal data
You have the right to know if we have your personal data, and if so we will inform you about how it is processed. You have the right to request copies of these.

Right to rectification
If you believe that our information about you is incorrect, you have the right to request that it be corrected. If something is missing, you can request that information be added.

Your right to object
You have the right to object to us processing your data based on a balancing of interests. If we cannot then demonstrate that our reasons for the processing outweigh your reasons, the processing must cease.

Right to be deleted
You have the right to request that your personal data with us be deleted. It could be, for example, that you consider the data no longer needed for the purpose for which they were collected or the processing is based on your consent, which you now wish to withdraw.

This online store uses cookies in accordance with the GDPR, May 25, 2018. A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer that contains information to help the online store identify and track users. Cookies exist as session cookies and as cookies that are permanently stored on your computer. External parties we share information with:

Other companies within the company group: All information stated above may be shared between all parts of Nordlys Design Ab and its sewing companies within the same group, including Heritage Crafts of Sweden AB and also Nordlys physical stores. 

Service providers: We may also share parts of the above information with third-party companies both inside and outside the EU. These partners deliver services to Nordlys Design Ab and may need to have access to parts of our customer information. We require that all our partners comply with the rules for GDPR and are responsible for keeping all information secure.


All attempts at fraud are reported to the police. Nordlys reserves the right to cancel a purchase if fraud is suspected. 
Fraud includes purchases, data breaches or other misuse of our site and/or products. 

Prices and fees
All prices listed on NordlysViking.com are inclusive of statutory value added tax, and excluding shipping costs. 
The possible shipping cost for each order is calculated based on the size or weight of your order.
The cost of the different delivery methods is clearly stated at checkout.
If we cannot deliver your entire order in one delivery, but must split it into several deliveries, the Company will not charge any additional fees for subsequent deliveries.
Our prices and fees may change due to circumstances beyond our control, such as material price changes, currency changes or changes in VAT.
All prices include Swedish VAT. If the VAT changes, we reserve the right to change our prices and fees by the corresponding amount.
We reserve the right for possible printing and typing errors.

Sale/Realization/Promotions/Discount codes:

Sale and Promotions
We reserve the right during any sale or promotion period to remove items or change prices without notifying you first. The price stated in our online store is the actual price of the product and cannot be influenced by you as a customer. The total amount stated in the cash register and which you approve when completing the purchase is the total amount to which you have bound yourself according to the terms and conditions and which must be paid. This total cannot be changed or renegotiated after the purchase is completed. 
We reserve the right to ev. longer handling times during "sales" and campaigns that may apply.

Discount codes 
Limited validity discount codes distributed as part of a promotion or upon delivery of purchases may only be used once and only in accordance with the terms established for each individual code. We reserve the right to exclude certain products or categories of products from the discount. We take no responsibility for discount codes that have been received in any other way than from Nordlys.

Minimum order limit 

At Nordlys, we have no limit for the minimum value of a purchase. On the other hand, delivery is free throughout Sweden for purchases over SEK 699.

Ordering/creating an agreement 

The customer places their order online via NordlysViking.com. Purchases in a physical store or at an event are not covered by the Distance Shopping Act and therefore have different purchase conditions. Once you have placed your order, we will email you a confirmation that your order has been received. (if you do not receive an order confirmation, first look in your spam filter, then contact customer service) An email will then be sent out confirming that your order has been sent from us. If for some reason we cannot send your order or parts of your order, we will inform you of this as soon as possible, but no later than in your confirmation of sent order.
Depending on the delivery method you have chosen, you may be contacted with information about your package by the carrier. If you have chosen to send your order as a Goods letter, the delivery will be delivered to your letterbox, alternatively if the letter is too large for your letterbox, to the nearest delivery point. Nordlys takes no responsibility for untraceable consignment notes after they have been delivered to Postnord. Should your waybill not be delivered, you are referred to Postnord's customer service.

Shipping cost other EU SEK 99. Free shipping EU for orders over SEK 999

Shipping cost USA 9 USD . Free shipping USA for orders over USD 100

Shipping cost Norway SEK 149. Free shipping Norway for orders over SEK 999

For other deliveries outside the EU, we charge SEK 199. Free shipping worldwide over 1999 SEK

Return shipping cost and unclaimed packages:

Nordlys offers return shipping within Sweden. (less than 1% of our customers return their goods) If you ordered abroad, get in touch and we will see how we can best help you with your return.
Unredeemed packages: SEK 199 mandatory fee for shipping, handling and administrative fees, when you have not followed our conditions for returns and purchases.

Cost of payment method: Any additional fees that apply when e.g. invoice purchase or partial payment is clearly indicated at checkout. 

Right of withdrawal and right of return:

If you are not satisfied with the product you ordered, you have 14 days right to withdraw from the day you collect your package. The right of withdrawal applies to all goods, regardless of price or campaign, but not to orders for custom-made and custom-made products or cut-to-size fabrics. You have the right to open the packaging to check that the product is free of defects.

The right of withdrawal can be extended in your favor on selected occasions, for example during holidays. Clear information about this is then given in the order confirmation and at the checkout.
If you have already paid for an item that you are returning, we will refund the purchase cost and possibly also the shipping fee. 

Incorrect item: 

If you have received a wrong item, you must immediately inform us at Nordlys about this and wait for further instructions via email
If we judge that the item is incorrect, we will send the correct item, provided it is in stock, as soon as we have received the incorrect item in return. Nordlys is responsible for the return shipping. Detailed instructions will be sent via email after we have received your complaint. These provisions do not limit applicable statutory rights.


Nordlys guarantees a full refund of your purchase, provided that all goods are returned in the same condition they were in when delivered to you.
This means that the goods must not have been dirty, washed, damaged, changed or used (other than what can be assumed normally to inspect the goods) and that any notes and labels are intact, and that if packages are returned in the condition in which they arrived.


Card payment: We use Klarna's card payment for card payments. No fees are added for purchases with debit or credit cards. The money is deducted directly from your account when the purchase is completed.

Invoice: When purchasing against an invoice, customary credit information can be requested. All invoicing is handled by Klarna.

Advance payment by bank: Transfer the money, according to the total amount of your order, to our bank account. Label the transfer with your order number.

Damaged package

If the package and/or contents are damaged when you receive it, you should report it immediately on site upon delivery of your package and then immediately contact Nordlys. If you have collected and opened the package and discover damage to your goods, contact Nordlys. Transport damage must be reported to us within a reasonable time from the fault being discovered or should have been discovered. 
All packaging and outer packaging must be kept for possible inspection and evidence. If transport damage is discovered, the package must be left in an unchanged condition and photographed. You must then contact Nordlys to receive further instructions on how to proceed with your complaint.

We advise against sending the package back or throwing away the packaging. This is to be able to receive compensation in the event of a complaint by the person who carried out the transport.

We have at least a 3-year warranty on all goods. If there is a production or material defect in the item you received, Nordlys applies the current consumer legislation. You have the right to complain about the product within 36 months from the time of purchase, provided that the product was already damaged at the time of delivery. The damage must be due to manufacturing and or material defects and or damage during transport.


We strive to show the properties and appearance of our products in as realistic and colorful a way as possible through our product images. However, the color you see on NordlysViking.com is dependent on your computer monitor, and we cannot guarantee that your computer can visually reproduce colors in the same way as in our system or anyone else's. 


If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a guardian's permission to place an order with us. 

Printing and possible spelling errors 

We take responsibility for all information communicated via NordlysViking.com. This via all of our channels; website, newsletter, other digital publications, information in our packages and customer service. 
We disclaim responsibility for all other information relating to Nordlys Viking and communicated via channels other than our own. We cannot guarantee that information provided via other websites or advertisements is correct and therefore take no responsibility for that information. 
Facts and price information are provided with reservation for printing errors, suppliers' price increases, possibly incorrectly stated technical specifications, etc. as well as for final sales. 

Support and availability
We at Nordlys want you to have the best possible customer experience and ask you to contact us if there is anything we can help you with. Contact takes place via our customer service form, telephone or e-mail. 
Our goal is to answer purchase and purchase-related questions via e-mail within 24 hours of receiving the e-mail. Some questions may require research and then the response time may be slightly longer, but it should still not be longer than 72 hours. This only applies on weekdays.
Our telephone hours are daytime, weekdays excluding weekends. We try to answer all calls in a timely manner. If you do not arrive, send an email or leave a message on our answering machine, and we will call you back.
