This hand forged Viking sax or battle knife is based on several finds from the British islands. It has a blade shape that is very specific for the region and time. The handle is made from polished Ash wood with details and end ring hand fitted in brass.
The blade is traditionally hand forged, hardened with oil and then tempered to become both flexible and strong. It is marked with our Nordlys™ “forgers mark”, so that you can be sure that it is an original from our forge. It comes in a semi sharp tempered version and can be sharpened.
Since the blade is not blunt, the knife is intended for collectors and decorative or ceremonial use. We do not recommend using this model in any type of fighting.
