This cup is inspired by a small cup found at Birka, with the same round shape and a handle. A find of a small blackened cup with a handle also exists in Denmark. The cup is made of clay and blackened through pit firing, just as the Vikings made their pottery. The blackening gives a slightly mottled and very glossy black colour, reminiscent of graphite.

Material: Earthenware. Oxidized surface from kiln firing. Not glazed.</p><p>Size: Approx 6.5 cm tall and with a diameter of 8.5 cm.</p>

Care

<p><span style="background-color:rgb(246,246,247);color:rgb(32,34,35);">Goods in horn are washed by hand with water and detergent if necessary. They should not be washed in a dishwasher and cannot be microwaved either. Horn is a natural material that has many properties in common with wood. It can therefore dry out over time. Feel free to treat with wood oil if necessary or once or twice a year for preventive purposes. For glass and other items that will come into contact with food, we recommend that you use a wood oil that is intended for kitchen utensils or the like. Heavy use of detergent dries out the horn faster. Then it may need to be oiled more often.</span></p>
