Bluetooth Viking Sword

This hand-forged replica of a Viking sword from Harald Blåtand's time has a typical design that is easily recognizable. With its long and flexible blade, thin bloodline and with the incredibly beautiful and detailed ski, it is truly a sword worthy of a king. Handmade in Viking times in high quality steel, hardened in oil and tempered in the traditional way over a kolasja, this sword makes something for every collector. The blade is marked with Nordlys' "blacksmith mark" so you can be sure that you have a real sword from our own forge.

 The handle is wrapped in brown leather and has a time-typical three-lobed button and a slightly arched pair of rods that classify the sword model as type S according to Jan Petersen. The leather ski is handmade with a wooden core, covered with leather, has a belt bridge of wood and is decorated with blood-red leather straps and with a mouth and baptismal shoe made of bronze with intricate patterns. Viking swords were traditionally worn with two belts, one across the chest and one around the waist to distribute the weight of the sword and ran through a shackle on the ski called a belt bridge.

As the sword is not blunted (does not have a rounded egg), it is not recommended for combat, but intended for collectors, for decorative or ceremonial purposes.
